Commercial Revenue Finance Manager

Finance & Accounting - Bothell, Washington

Description

Summary:

The Manager, Commercial Revenue will be responsible for revenue recognition and supporting Gross to Net operational processes. This position will need to partner cross functionally and externally to support these processes.

Principal Responsibilities:

  • Work collaboratively across finance, commercial, and other departments to develop a thorough understanding of the revenue and distribution business model in order to appropriately apply technical accounting guidance and GAAP interpretations as they relate to revenue recognition and gross-to-net calculations
  • Develop and maintain strong revenue recognition and gross-to-net controls, including key controls in a Sarbanes-Oxley environment
  • Develop and manage scalable gross to net processes for key components (PHS/340B, Medicaid, Fee for Service, Returns, etc.)
  • Manage third party vendors in preparing and/or reviewing monthly close procedures
  • Coordinate with external auditors for auditor's requests to ensure timely and efficient quarterly reviews and annual audit execution; and resolve any issues or problems encountered during the review/audit process related to revenue accounting
  • Partner with the cross-functional stakeholders to support monthly/quarterly gross to net analytics
  • Partner and Support review of government pricing reports generated by third party vendors to ensure accuracy of government pricing calculations and reporting

Required Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of increasing responsibility in accounting/finance experience or equivalent
  • BA/BS in Accounting/Finance or comparable experience
  • Ability to communicate effectively both written and verbally
  • Excellent ability to work independently

Preferred Qualifications:

  • High level of attention to detail and strong analytical, decision making and problem-solving skills
  • MBA and/or CPA preferred
  • Experience in a pharmaceutical/biotechnology organization strongly preferred
  • Demonstrated accountability and adaptability to change with experience working in a hyper-growth organization
