Senior Director Commercial Information Management

Summary:

The Sr. Director, Commercial Information Management will be accountable for defining and executing the commercial data strategy and corresponding data governance methodology. He/she will work very closely with IT and with senior leadership across business functions (Commercial Operations, Marketing, Market Access, Medical Affairs, Compliance) to drive innovation in the data architecture and governance models that generate commercial business insights and guided analytics. This role will lead the design and drive implementation of strategic digital roadmaps and framework-based execution models for faster and scalable technology solution deployment across the Commercial organization.

The Sr. Director, Commercial Information Management will also be responsible for building, developing, and retaining a strong technical and analytical team delivering data solutions and insights that have a tangible business impact. This position will report to the VP, US Commercial Operations and will be instrumental in help deliver a competitive advantage and support our mission to deliver products that make a meaningful difference in the lives of cancer patients.

Principal Responsibilities:

• Lead the development and execution of a holistic commercial data strategy that harmonizes data and leverages best in class data platforms to:
• Establish data governance framework for internal and external data
• Establish data governance framework-based approach to deliver, store, integrate and use considering upstream and downstream applications
• Lead and oversee the evaluation, assessment, and integration of data to identify trends, generate insights and formulate business recommendations that inform leadership decision making
• Establish and implement data stewardship framework and roadmap for Master data (for HCP, HCO, SPs, Patient, Product)
• Lead the definition and implementation of data/platform engineering/infrastructure required for extraction, transform and loading of customer data into chosen MDM Platform. Provide hands-on thought leadership throughout delivery of lifecycle of Customer data
• Lead and establish data compliance strategies in collaboration with Regulatory and Compliance teams with a specific focus on Preference Management Solutions (Opt & Consent)
• Collaborate with business partners on data purchase decisions, leading reviews of Syndicated data, Patient Data, EMR/EHR to options to manage cost and maximize return on spend
• Be a strategic advisor for leadership teams across IT, Sales Operations, Marketing Science, Market Access, Medical Affairs and Compliance on commercial data sources and subsequent insights
• Build, develop, and retain a high performing team of commercial data and analytics professionals

Required Qualifications:

• Undergraduate degree in Engineering/ Information Technology/ CS
• 12+ years of experience working in pharma/biotech industry leading teams in data management, including leading digital transformation strategies in data acquisition, commercial data warehouse, MDM, CRM, Multi-Channel Marketing, Transparency, and Real-world evidence
• Extensive experience setting up CoE – Data Science, Data Strategies, Data Governance, Architecture
• Demonstrated ability to educate and Influence leadership to deliver cutting edge solutions like AR/VR, Process automation, Voice based Services etc.
• Strong communication and influencing skills up, down and across the organization, and a high level of executive presence
• Proven experience communicating complicated analytics simply and clearly for senior management and other non-technical stakeholders
• In-depth experience with Veeva CRM and Sales Technology platforms
• Strong track record of success in team and project leadership, including experiences establishing strong cross-functional partnership, conflict resolution, and consensus-driving across a diverse stakeholder set
• Experience working in some of the leading Data Providers (IQVIA, FLATIRON etc.), Data Technology environments (Oracle, AWS, Azure, Big Data). Technology/COT Solutions from vendors like Veeva Network, IQVIA, Reltio, Informatica
• Experience working in data Management processes, working knowledge on applications like Commercial Warehouse, Master Data Management, Veeva CRM
• Experience in translating data into value generating assets
• Demonstrated success leading teams of data and analytics professionals

Preferred Qualifications:

• The preferred candidate will be local to the Bothell, WA office or willing to relocate
