Summary

The Manager, Investor Relations is a critical member of the IR team that communicates Seagen’s research programs, commercial and financial performance to the investment community. This person will work closely with the IR team, the SVP of IR and corporate communications, and members of our executive team to help execute Seagen’s IR strategy and initiatives directed mainly towards current and prospective shareholders and publishing research analysts. With a keen understanding of Seagen’s products, pipeline, operations and corporate strategy, the Manager, IR will generate data and analyses to support decisions that contribute to the function and company's strategic goals. The qualified candidate will be able to successfully interact at a senior level in the organization, possess strong executive presence and strategic understanding of the company and the biotechnology landscape. The position will collaborate across multiple functions, including corporate communications, legal, finance, commercial, R&D, program management, regulatory and corporate development, as well as with other members of the IR team to successfully deliver on a robust and proactive IR program to support a growing, global multi-product oncology company.

Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and analyze equity analyst reports for SGEN and its peers; provide senior management with research coverage to ensure internal understanding of investor and analyst perceptions
  • Maintain, update and analyze analyst models and consensus information in collaboration with finance and a vendor, while working to optimize processes and deliverables for the business
  • Prepare reports for senior leadership, including consensus estimates, stock performance analyses, peer benchmarking, analyst research and investor interactions
  • Prepare and contribute to Q&A documents, press releases, investor presentations and other investor-facing materials such as fact sheets, backgrounders and infographics
  • Support quarterly earnings process with contributions to project management, slide deck, Q&A, press release and supporting reference documents
  • Support planning of the company’s participation in investor and analyst events, such as conferences, meetings and non-deal roadshows; manage planning of periodic analyst events and the annual meeting of stockholders
  • Support scientific conferences by working cross functionally to disseminate information to analysts/investors, as appropriate
  • Maintain investor relations section of corporate website
  • Serve as key resource for day-to-day inquiries from investors and analysts, ensuring accurate, consistent and timely responses to external inquiries
  • Oversee maintenance of investor contact database as well as other IR trackers and tools
  • Support investor community engagement while developing a deep understanding of buyside and sellside communications approaches and principles of materiality and fair disclosure

Required Qualifications:

  • Scientific or business bachelor's degree or higher
  • 5-7 years of industry experience in investor relations, communications, marketing, financial analyst or similar discipline
  • Life sciences experience with a strong preference for biotechnology
