Position Summary:

Seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Research Associate II to join Seagen’s Formulation and Drug Product Sciences (FDPS) group. The RA II will support development of stable formulations and drug product processes for Seagen’s therapeutic antibodies and antibody-drug conjugates. The RA II will be responsible for executing and analyzing samples from formulation screens, drug product process characterization studies (including lyophilization development), stability studies, and clinical in-use studies. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in formulation development, analytical biochemistry, or a related discipline, strong critical thinking skills, and the ability to work both independently and in a collaborative manner. Principal Responsibilities:

  • Execute formulation screens, stability studies, liquid and lyophilization drug product development studies, and clinical condition of use studies to support the development of robust formulations and processes for antibody and antibody drug conjugate (ADC) drug products.
  • Perform analytical testing of samples, interpret data, and troubleshoot problems with some guidance.
  • Contributes to lab equipment maintenance; may be subject matter expert for specific equipment or technology.
  • Authors technical documents and reports and presents results at internal and department meetings.

Required Qualifications:

  • Degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences, Biochemistry, Biological Sciences, Chemical Engineering or related discipline
  • B.S. and 2+ years or M.S. and 0-2 years experience
  • Hands-on experience in protein formulation or analytical development
  • Some hands-on experience with chromatographic (e.g., SEC, RP, CEX) and electrophoretic (e.g., CE-SDS, icIEF) techniques and other analytical methods
  • Detail oriented, strong organization and time management skills
  • Team player, motivated and willing to learn and grow
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience using lab software and/or electronic lab notebooks (ELN)
  • Some practical experience with protein chemistry, degradation and stabilization mechanisms
