Summary
The ITSM Product Owner will be part of the IT Service Management team and will manage oversight of the ServiceNow product. This role is responsible for providing concept-to-launch guidance and direction to our development teams. This includes gathering, prioritizing, documenting project requirements, and working with different stakeholder’s business goals, removing roadblocks with an emphasis on customer satisfaction. He or she works closely with both business stakeholder, development, testing and administration along with analysts to ensure the quality and comprehensiveness of the business requirements (BRD) ahead of kicking off the software development. This includes coaching and mentoring on the agile development process with a positive attitude and providing deliverables within a short time frame using the scrum process.
Principal Responsibilities:
- Owns the ServiceNow technical platform while having a strong understanding of the ServiceNow framework and able to develop and maintain its roadmap for Seagen
- Knowledgeable on Azure DevOps and scrum process for use of managing business requirements.
- Guides and coaches the scrum team on how to use agile best practices and principles to deliver high quality products and services to our customers.
- Works with internal and external stakeholders to influence and drive decision making and support organizational project or product teams
Works with stakeholders to identify requirements and translate them into user stories and effectively prioritizes them.
- Coordinates and follows up with stakeholders to complete testing of user stories.
- Conducts design and requirement gathering workshops with stakeholders.
- Aids in creation of functional knowledge articles for the ServiceNow processes and functionalities.
- Help ServiceNow Admin team with production validation.
- Participates Daily Standup, Sprint Planning, and Sprint reviews to prioritize and allocate enhancements to Sprints.
- Create stories with requirements making recommendations on ServiceNow platform solutions.
- Develop and manage year over year growth of ServiceNow framework
Contributes to the advancement and improvement of agile practices within the organization.
- Works with third party vendors to ensure priorities and deliverables are met.
- Work with key vendors to drive efficiency and growth through new enhancements and best practices.
Required Qualifications:
- 4 Year of project development experience, or 3 years of product development experience on an Agile Team
- 5 + years working with the ServiceNow Platform
- Prior Business Analyst experience preferred
- Demonstrated experience facilitating meetings at multiple levels of an organization and an understanding of facilitation techniques
- ITIL v3 certification preferred
- Understanding of DevOps Framework
- Understanding of ITIL processes and how they are implemented in ServiceNow.
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent experience
- Scrum Certification Preferred
