Summary:

Subject matter expert in strategic supplier performance, management, engagement and supplier diversity advocacy and strategies. Demonstrated success creating innovative talent acquisition, procurement and vendor management solutions and working with internal business partners and external vendor partners, at all executive levels of organizations, across multiple functional areas. Expertise in the recruitment cycle, design, implementation, and management of effective policies, programs and processes.

As an IT Vendor Manager Third Party Services, you will assume ownership for the strategy, design, and execution of services delivered to Seagen through its network of global suppliers. You will conduct assessments of rates, partnerships, business operations and translate them into a scalable delivery solution. You will design a long-term delivery of service strategy and build relationships with key stakeholders within Seagen such as Human Resources, Finance, Privacy, Legal and Procurement.

You will leverage your background and expertise and skills to help drive cost-out of the organization, improve processes (both efficiency and customer experience), as well as identify investment and prioritization opportunities within Seagen’s Global IT (GIT).

Principal Responsibilities:

  • Creates external labor strategy, defining control processes and approaches that drive consistent alignment with business requirements and supports continuous improvements within and across organizations.
  • Implements a strategic vendor management program including vendor selection, strategic sourcing, and vendor consolidation for technology services (GIT).
  • Oversees strategic multi-tier supplier selection; evaluates current supplier pool and recommends additional supplier support as required.
  • Designs and continuously improves vendor management processes, including vendor SLAs, responsible parties in the defined workflow, elements of managing vendors, required due diligence, risk assessments, and stakeholder communication.
  • Establishes performance management guidelines; supports business reviews, establishes scorecard process.
  • Conducts ongoing monitoring assessments; develops remediation plans as necessary.
  • Evaluates analytics to identify areas of opportunity for streamlining and consolidation of spend; negotiates/establishes rate cards with preferred suppliers.
  • Leads contract and price negotiation activities.
  • Builds internal relationships with Seagen business owners to understand current strategic and tactical challenges to running their lines of business in a more scalable, efficient manner.
  • Ensures adherence to policy, educates stakeholders and suppliers on policy compliance, and drives the remediation and resolution of sourcing issues; influences current and future policy direction as needed to mitigate risks across business units and enable suppliers to meet business requirements.
  • Manages the overall relationship with the supplier teams, and guides quality and cost-effective extended workforce plans.
  • Builds networks in the industry, stays up to date with the latest extended workforce models, and engages comfortably at an executive level with external vendor companies.
  • Communicates initiatives with executive management and the organization.
  • Analyzes vendor data and communicates insights on vendor performance, creating the strategic narrative to influence the organization decision-making.
  • Conducts research, gathers market intelligence and benchmarking analysis to understand the resource market and trends.

Required Qualifications:

  • 10+ years' experience in technology sourcing and vendor management function.
  • 10+ years’ experience in Technology Vendor Management, related Technology Management or Technology Program Management with heavy third-party service provider or supplier management.
  • Extensive experience managing stakeholder relationships at a leadership level.
  • Ability to align key technology vendors with specific project initiatives.
  • Proven track record in supporting executive alignment and strategic vendor management for technology vendors.
  • Proven experience managing the work of vendors, subcontractors, and partners, including the execution of vendor contracts to ensure adherence to contract provisions.
  • Expertise in vendor management and vendor risk assessment best practices, processes, and concepts.
  • Demonstrated subject matter expertise leading, reviewing, and negotiating contracts for complex business services and products.
  • Strong communication skills (including presentation skills) with success in influencing all levels cross-functionally.
  • Outstanding organizational and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Extensive experience managing stakeholder relationships at a leadership level.
  • Define and lead the negotiation strategy and approach for assigned services to govern the selection, evaluation, cost & price details for selected vendors.
  • Track record of significant savings with contract negotiations.
  • Ability to align key technology vendors with specific project initiatives.
  • Strong verbal and written ability with the English language.
  • Proven track record in supporting executive alignment and strategic vendor management for technology vendors.
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer- or business-related discipline or equivalent job experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with working with international/global organizations to support necessary expansion outside of the United States.
  • Understanding of ServiceNow.
