Summary:

This position is responsible for solution/media preparation, basic laboratory equipment use and maintenance (i.e. balances, pH meters, cleaning refrigerators, etc.), and general lab ordering and stocking supporting internal sample testing for release and/or stability of Seattle Genetics’ clinical development and/or commercial products in a GMP testing environment.

Principal Responsibilities:

  • Applying the principles of good manufacturing practices (GMP) on a daily basis
  • Prepare laboratory solutions following instructions in SOPs (includes use of pH meters and balances)
  • Perform routine maintenance on laboratory equipment, such as cleaning BSCs, refrigerators, and freezers
  • Perform routine sample management activities, including inventory and disposal of samples
  • Order, receive and dispose of laboratory reagents, solutions, and other consumables
  • Maintain training to current standards on all assigned curriculums
  • Fully comply with company health and safety procedures and practices

Required Qualifications:

  • High school degree or in progress towards an AA degree with a scientific background
  • Broad experience with Microsoft Office products (Excel, Outlook, etc.)
  • Highly organized with an attention to detail

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 0-1 years of cGMP related laboratory experience in the biopharmaceutical industry
  • Experience with basic lab equipment (pH meters, balances, pipettes, etc.)
  • Knowledge of biological and/or chemical handling
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
