Summary:
Seagen, a multi-product global oncology company, is building a sophisticated US Access Marketing capability to develop tailored strategies and tactics to support US reimbursement and patient access. The US Access Marketing team is responsible for strategic planning of value and access for Seagen’s oncology assets, beginning in late-stage development and extending through US commercialization.
This intern will create a strategy deck summarizing the future state of market access in the oncology space, focusing specifically on how organized customers (Integrated Delivery Networks, Group Purchasing Organizations, and Pathway organizations) are evolving their business models and utilization management approaches, and recommendations for how Seagen should evolve its access and customer engagement strategies.
Requirements or Responsibilities:
- Gain a deeper understanding of all Market Access customers: Payers/Health Plans/PBMs, Specialty Pharmacy, Trade, Integrated Delivery Networks, Group Purchasing Organization, Government, and Pathway organizations
- Understand challenges and business drivers across multiple channels and customer type
- Build core foundational marketing skills, develop a comprehensive understanding of product value, payer-provider reimbursement and patient affordability
- Gain exposure to many unique experiences and gain valuable insight into tactics and cross-matrix initiatives used to ensure patient access to quality care
- Evaluate payer management trends, emerging access influencers, and the evolving competitive landscape
- Collaborate with in-house and field-based market access colleagues, cross functional teams, customers to drive forward business and serve market access customers
Qualifications:
- All levels accepted
- PharmD, MBA or MPH preferred
- Self-starter, learning attitude
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Comfort with executing tasks with minimal oversight
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team
Note: This is an onsite, paid internship. This position is open to all students legally authorized to work in the United States. We are not able to offer visa sponsorship for internships. While housing is not provided by Seagen, we make every effort to connect fellow interns to arrange for joint housing and ride sharing.

The hiring pay range for this position is $20 to $32 per hour based on skills, education and experience relevant to the role.
